Air Pollution! I think enough has been spoken about it already. But the peculiar thing about air pollution is that whenever we ponder over it, the first thing that pops in our head is the collection of images of towering industrial smokestacks, factories burning tons of coals, or even better, hundreds of cars stuck in gridlock traffic.
But isn’t it obvious that the quality of indoor air is better than the quality of outdoor air? Turns out, it is not so easy to generalize. Which air is healthier, depends on where you live. If you are living in a developed country or somewhere close to a forest, there are high chances that your outdoor air is healthier than the indoor air. However, if you live near a coal smelting plant, your indoor air could be healthier than the outdoor air.
So which air is more harmful? Take your guess.
Outdoor air pollution claimed the lives of 4.2 million people last year. What about indoor air pollution? 3.8 million. As much as outdoor air pollution.
Look at some of the effects of indoor air pollution.

We spend 80% of our lives indoors and thus what we breathe indoors is very important.
So do we really need an air purifier? I think we do. With the overall air pollution in such a grave state and the indoor air quality, in particular, even worse, I think we should all invest in an air purifier. That is if we do feel that our health is our biggest asset.
